Response of Mustard to Boron Fertilization

چکیده
A field experiment was carried out in non-Calcareous Floodplain Soil of Spices Research Sub-Station, Lalmonirhat under AEZ 2 during the rabi season of 20072008 and 2008-09. The objectives were to evaluate the effect of boron on the yield of mustard and to screen out the suitable variety tested against different boron levels for maximizing yield. Three varieties of mustard viz., BARI Sharisha-11, 13, and 14 and 5 levels of boron (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 kg/ha) along with a blanket dose of N120 P35 K65 S20 Zn3.0 kg/ha were used in the study. Results revealed that BARI Sharisha-11 performed better with 1.5 kg B/ha which produced 1.82 t/ha seed. However, from regression analysis, a positive but quadratic relationship was observed between seed yield and boron levels. The optimum dose of boron was appeared to be 1.7 and 1.6 kg B/ha for Lalmonirhat during 2007-08 and 2008-09, respectively.

Rice Response to Boron Application Rate and Time in Arkansas , Louisiana , and Missouri
Boron (B) deficiency of soybean has been routinely observed in numerous fields in northeast Arkansas since 2001 and has stimulated interest in B fertilization of both rice and soybean in Arkansas. In 2002, scientists from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri established similar research trials in each state to investigate rice yield response to B fertilization. Boron fertilizer was applied at rate...

CHARACTERIZATION OF IMMUNE RESPONSE TO MUSTARD GAS USING A NEW FLUOROIMMUNOASSAY
One way to confront chemical warfare in order to reduce their harmful effects, is to use the body's defense mechanisms. In order to do so firstly mustard gas (HD) was injected in an animal model in the form of an immunogen and the induced humoral immune response was investigated by two different immunological methods such as the Ouchterlony test and a new liquid phase fluoroimmunoassay. 7l...
متن کاملPRODUCTION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HUMORAL IMMUNE RESPONSE AGAINST MUSTARD GAS
One of the promising aspects of the immunological research on chemical war gas is to investigate the immunogenicity of some hazardous compounds such as mustard gas. Mustard gas is categorized as a "hapten" based on its physical and chemical properties. Haptenic chemicals which do not possess immunogenicity could be immunogenic experimentally when conjugated with a suitable protein carrier...
متن کاملChanges of major wall polysaccharides and glycoproteins of tobacco cells in response to excess boron
Effects of excess concentrations of boron on major cell wall components of tobacco cells(Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Burley 21) were studied. Pectin, xyloglucan, hydroxyproline-richglycoproteins (extensin), and arabinogalactan proteins were characterized. Results showedthat increased boron supply resulted in significant decrease in cell and cell wall dry weights. Also, high concentrations of boron ...
